Preparation: Wash your hands and all feeding utensils thoroughly before preparation. Use only clean, boiled water to mix the formula. Let water cool to approximately 40°C (104°F) to preserve the formula’s nutrients.
-
Mixing: Add the recommended scoop quantity as directed on the formula tin (usually 1 level scoop per 30 ml water). Stir or shake well until formula is completely dissolved.
-
Feeding: Give freshly prepared formula immediately. Discard unfinished feeds within one hour to prevent ingestion of harmful bacteria.
-
Feeding Frequency: Follow your doctor’s guidance for the number and size of feeds per day, based on your baby’s age and dietary requirements.
-
Transition: Should always be gradual and under medical supervision. Do not change formulas without consulting your healthcare provider.
Note: Infant formula should only be used as directed by your healthcare professional. It is not a substitute for breast milk where breastfeeding is possible. Always prepare formula carefully to avoid risks of contamination or incorrect mixing.
