Orofar Plus Sore Throat Relief Lozenges is intended to dissolve slowly in the mouth and release ingredients to suppress coughs, lubricate, soothe, and cool irritated tissues of the throat. This one is formulated with antibacterial action of key ingredient like chlorhexidine digluconate which kills the bacteria that cause sore throat and mouth infections. Chlorhexidine digluconate is a bisbiguanide antiseptic and disinfectant, which is bactericidal or bacteriostatic against a wide range of gram negative and gram-positive vegetative bacteria, yeasts, dermatophyte fungi and lipophilic viruses. This lozenge with chlorhexidine digluconate is highly effective for the treatment of oral infections and oral cavity inflammation in adult and children from 5 years of age. The active ingredient, chlorhexidine digluconate, kills viruses and bacteria in 20 seconds providing a long-lasting effect for up to 12 hours. The action of sucking on a hard lozenge allows for additional soothing of the infected area and reduces dryness of the throat. Administration of chlorhexidine digluconate lozenges has been shown to generate a reduced throat soreness and to provide pain relief and relief from difficulty in swallowing 5 minutes after administration. The ginger, honey & lemon flavor gives a refreshing and soothing sensation to the mouth and throat. • Direction for use: Children 5-12 years: half to one lozenge 2X a day. Adults 12 years+: one lozenge a day 3X a day.
• Dissolve one Orofar Plus Sore Throat Relief Lozenge slowly in the mouth every 2 hours as needed. Do not exceed 8 lozenges per day. Do not use for more than 5 days without consulting a doctor. Do not swallow or chew the lozenge.
